Tina is the president of Heart & Soul Counseling Center. She has always been passionate about helping those in need. Her dream of creating a counseling center was born during her twenties while working at various mental health facilities. Tina’s dedication to mental health even led her to volunteer for the American Red Cross after the tragic events of 9/11 and during the devastating hurricanes.
In addition to her role as president, Tina also leads the drama workshop at Heart & Soul and volunteers for the Small Business Administration's SCORE program on Long Island. She is also on the board of the Transgender Resource Center of Long Island. Her commitment to social justice is evident in her 40-year-long activism for the LGBTQIA community.
Tina firmly believes that Heart & Soul Counseling Center is a vital resource for our society, especially during these times of great distress. With her leadership and unwavering dedication, she has created a safe and welcoming space on Long Island for all those seeking support and guidance.
"Roz" is a former deputy director of the Suffolk County Department of Probation. She has clinical expertise in treating couples as well as adults from dysfunctional homes. Roz is a smart and competent professional who loves her work and continues to excel at it.
Mary has experience working with children, adults, and couples. She specializes in treating children and adults who have experienced anxiety or post trauma. Prior to joining the Heart & Soul team in November 2015, Mary ran a trauma based treatment program in several schools.
Alex is a clinical social worker who offers psychotherapy to adults and teenagers. He has worked as a school social worker and with the homeless population.
Pat is an experienced nurse and has worked at both a school and local hospital. She helps both adults and young people starting at age eighteen.
Gretchen is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who has experience working with woman in labor and delivery. She works with adults in our Wantagh office, and is available on video for the east-enders.
Louise is a clinical social worker psychotherapist who has many years of experience in working with adults, couples and people who grew up in dysfunctional homes.
A Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Thao works with all populations and has specialized training in dealing with mental health issues. She treats adults and young adults.
Francesca (she/her/hers) is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in many different areas of the medical field for the past twelve years. Francesca enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as unique populations. She is an ally to the LGBTQIA+ and transgender communities.
Nicole is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who works in the West Babylon office and has weekend hours. She works with adults who suffer from various mental health issues.
Ruthellen is an experienced nurse practitioner who has worked at various settings including in patient and out- patient. She works with adults and young adults and also offers training to student nurse practitioners.
John has worked with children and adolescents. He provides services at both our West Babylon and Wantagh locations. He is also training in our drama group.
Jesse helps the center run smoothly by dealing with insurance companies, getting our providers credentialed, assisting our nurse practitioners and utilizing our software programs.
Kim is a skilled and versatile professional with many years of medical office management experience. She covers the front desk whenever needed, helping to answer the phones, schedule appointments, and take care of the clients.
